The hot pot is very authentic compared with other hot pot places in Bay Area.
I like the numb feeling, the lamb skewer is also very good. -

Avoid this place: $108 for two for lunch and the food was mediocre. Never again.
My friend from China and I tried Jin Li Yuan restaurant today for lunch. First time for both of us. She and I both rated the hot pot food as mediocre. She is very knowledgeable about hot pot meals; I am not.
$108 plus tip was vastly overpriced.
Waiter was OK. The place is a bit dark for my preferences.
There were only about 4 tables with customers out of maybe 35 tables. -

We came here for hotpot around 530pm and the place was empty, but completely packed by the time we left.
We ordered half and half with the Spicy broth and Delicacy broth.
The delicacy broth is supposed to be pork broth based but was pretty flavorless. If you want any sauces you have to pay extra.
So I understand that Sichuan style is spicy, but the broth was so spicy and oily that out of 5 of us, none of us liked it. We had leftovers so took them home, but the whole liquid jar solidified in the fridge. (This happens when liquid is mostly fat). Needless to say we didn't eat the leftovers.
Portions of noodles, vegetables and meats are pretty good and there's a good variety to choose from. You either order on your tablet or can just tell the waiter. They're so busy running around that they aren't very nice though. Took a long time to get anyways attention for anything
Overall with so many hot pot places in the area we won't be back. -

Well my friend from Szechuan recommended this place, so I won't doubt its authenticity.
We were a party of 4, we ordered a ton of meat (and other stuff.) I thought the meat quality was great, especially the beef... They weren't stiff at all, easy to chew & swallow.
We had the yuanyang pot. Spicy on one side, and mushroom on the other. Both soup bases were very tasty, though I focused mostly on the non-spicy side. A lot of hotpot places tend to add to much salt into the spicy soup base, but this place got it just right, and I enjoyed everything.
One funny fact: they apparently control their TV via Google home... So if you have Google home app on your phone, make sure to connect to their WiFi... That way you'll be able to mess around with their TV... That might have been what I did ... -

Last time we went there was few months ago, and it taste very good, but this time we went, it become AYCE and the quality dropped alot, dont think will return anymore.
